How long have you been homeschooling?
4 yrs
How many children are your homeschooling?
3 - Erica 16 yrs, Ethan 12 yrs, Endya (sounds like India) 10 yrs
What is your best homeschooling advice for newbie home educators? Or, if you are a newbie homeschooler, what would you most like to learn about homeschooling?
My best advice is to take one day at a time, making sure to thank God daily for the priviledge to homeschool. Listen to your children as well as your heart, and know that you are not perfect. God will fill in all the gaps that seem to present themselves or cause us doubt our abilities as hs parents.
About Me:
I'm a Christian and have been married for 17 1/2 years. I treasure putting my family first. I seem to be an over achiever, putting so much on my plate and then pannicking about what doesn't get done. I'm really unorganized and could use lots of advise in this area:) I love to travel and read. I love take warm baths to relax after my long day. I would love to have another child, but cant since we fixed my hubby. I expect alot from him and my children (sometimes to much), only b/c I want what's best for them. I love cooking healthy meals for them. I need more exercise as well as the rest of my family. I (we) have lived in Florida for almost 2 yrs now, and I (we) want to move back to the Mid-West or Northeast, b/c I (we) miss the seasonal changes and heavy winters. I love to invite people over for food, fun and games. I'm a really talkative person, only because I'm quite shy. I can be very impatient at times, and I dont' always like change in my life. Sometimes I get on the computer when my children are working (like now), and can't get off, b/c I'm always looking for more advise on homeschooling ideas, and ways to become debt free. There's probably lots more about me, but this is what came to mind so far:)))

Relocated and Lonely!

Hi Everyone, It has been a couple of months since I was last on here. We have relocated from Fl or Cumming, Ga with my hubby's job, and this has been a big transition. We are finally all settled in and are hoping to locate a Christian group to connect with or a least one family that we can all relate with. We have no family here, except a distant cousin of my mothers, so it's really lonesome. I know there are lots of things to do here in Ga, but I would love a family or several to do them with.… Continue

I'm sending this to all on my list of friends. Just another little way to make some extra cash for us Moms. :-)

I thought that you may be interested in this!

Help make money by having people sign up under you. They have all the stores like Target, Khols, Baby phat, Calvin Klien, Drug stores, Home depot. They send you a rebate check at the first of the month. Go see what I'm talking about. Watch the video on my link.

Oh and the sign up is 100% free all you have to do is buy one thing from your mall each month to keep it activated. You can have as many as 1000 people under you. You make money off of what people buy in there stores through rebate checks.

Hi Sharonda. Take care of yourself to help take care of your children. I'm working on organizing myself and children as well. I will try to find some helpful sites and pass them on to you about Mothers and Homeschool Moms staying organized while not going crazy (smile) Greetings to you.

Hey just so you know, Memoria Press has a new French program as well. I don't think that they will be coming out with a Spanish one anytime soon, but you could ask.

I think that Rosetta is expensive too, but it's really comprehensive so I pluncked down the money. The great thing about it, is that it can be used with mulitple students. In the end, anything that you can use more than one time is a great investment for us. We copy all the Memoria workbooks, this will help us save money in the future too. We belive in passing down everything. I have 3 girls, so it's easy.

Hi Sharonda,

That's fantastic news about the walking! Keep it up! Remember an empty vessel can give no water. Mom is the vessel of the home, and you can't run on empty!

Keep in mind that God wants you to be healthy, vibrant, and joyful. Think the Proverbs 31 woman, and how she lived her life.

The enemy only wants to steal and destroy those very things, and he loathes woman and children more than anyother living things on the planet. Remember God put eminity between our seed and his! Keep on moving, and stay joyful!

Keep me posted on your progress, and don't hesitate to add to the Fit Homeschool Mom blog.
