What is your best homeschooling advice for newbie home educators? Or, if you are a newbie homeschooler, what would you most like to learn about homeschooling?
Everything and Anything to help us produce positive and educated individuals for this society.
About Me:
Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
Not by works, so that no one can boast.
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Blessed Child of God, Wife to Milton for 12+ yrs, Mother to 26 yr old daughter who lives on her own w/my 18mos grandson, Son-11yrs and daughter-9yrs.
Although I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker, I am currently not an active Sales Agent, but do process Mortgage Loans as a Notary Loan Signing Agent. I also own a small cleaning business and an online business Blessings2Enjoy which sells Christian books, cards and products.
If this sounds like a lot, it could be if I let it, but since I set my own schedule, I have the option to decide what/where/when it becomes too much.
I started researching Homeschooling a few years ago, after realizing that I really would not be comfortable with my children in a public or private school system by the age it was time for them to go to middle school so I have been preparing...little by little. Now here it is, my son is 11, going into the 6th grade, his 1st year in middle and Mom is not a happy camper about that.
Homeschooling will be a new adventure and way of life for us. Although I am excited to begin, I still have some doubts, fears, nervous anxiety at times but I am so happy that in this time there is so much support, encouragement and resources available for HSrs, not to mention all of the success stories from the families that have done this before me, I am forging ahead with the belief that we too can have a successful Homeschool family.
Romans 12:2 (NIV)
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
