What is your best homeschooling advice for newbie home educators? Or, if you are a newbie homeschooler, what would you most like to learn about homeschooling?
Trust yourself and be patient. Chart the course that's best for your family. Close your ears to nay sayers. Pray.

Jambo (Hello) Denise W-J
My family and I moved to Rocky Mount in August of this year. We were displaced by Katrina from New Orleans. We were able to move here to Rocky Mount by the help of the Atwinds Foundation. They helped us to purchase a brand new house builted up from the ground. So we are getting our life back into some order after moving around since Katrina. We did not get any real help from FEMA. Thats a long story for some other time. So we are new to Rocky Mount. We are doing a Kwanzaa Workshop this Saturday at the Braswell Memorial Library fro 1pm to 3pm. So If you are still in touch with people here in Rocky Mount let them know. They can email me at info@movementsunlimited.com and I can send them a flyer!

My sentiments exactly. Even family I learned from experience can be the worst naysayers in the world. I am glad you got it off your chest (LOL). I feel the same way too. Believe. Take care.

Hi Faith,
Sounds good. We are in the middle of moving. We are buying a house in Keller. With Christmas around the corner I am going a little bonkers trying to pack and squeeze in school too.

OHMYGAWD! First, welcome to the neighborhood! I am currently training 9 community based doulas to help combat the high infant mortality rate in Tarrant County! I am working on the final aspects of my doula certification, but in the meantime, I am birthing babies!
Let's chat soon! I am off to workout....or at least try!
