How many children are your homeschooling?: Considering homseschooling one child. Trying to get more information

My problem in the beginning was figuring out what to teach..but NY has requirements on the basics that need to be taught and you can find things that your child "should" know on a certain grade levels. I follow it loosely because I usually go a little beyond that but that's just me. I also teach things of course that are not on the list like African American history. Delete Comment

Grades 1-6 900 hours are required per year. 6-12 990 hours are required. Check it out http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=NY
